Leather chappals need a care routine suited to their finish. The first step is simple: check what material you have before using a cleaner, polish or conditioner. A product made for smooth leather may not be suitable for suede or nubuck.
Start with a gentle clean
Remove loose surface dust with a soft dry cloth or a suitable soft brush. Do not start with a strong cleaner simply because a mark looks dark. If you are unsure about the finish or a stain, send our team a clear photo before treating it.
Let damp footwear dry naturally
If your chappals get damp, gently remove excess moisture and allow them to dry naturally at room temperature. Keep them away from radiators, hair dryers and other direct heat. Avoid soaking the pair or putting it through a washing machine.
Check the care product before applying it
Read the label and use only a product intended for the leather finish. Different finishes need different care. Ask for guidance if you cannot identify the finish of your pair; do not assume every leather polish is suitable for every chappal.
Keep care separate from a repair
Cleaning cannot correct a loose strap, damaged stitching or a sole problem. If you notice a problem, stop and share a close-up photo with us. Do not attempt an alteration before discussing a return or warranty request, because altered items may not meet our policy conditions.
Before you store your pair
Give the pair a chance to dry before putting it away. Keep the left and right chappal together in a clean place where their shape will not be crushed. Check the pair before your next outing so a small issue does not go unnoticed until you need to leave.
